  • WHAT DO I NEED FOR COSTUME REGISTRATION?
    For registration, you need the following size information. Ladies: Actual Bra Size (34A, B, C) Hipband Size (in inches) Bottom Piece Size (S, M, L) Ladies: Bra Option (Regular Bra, Wire Bra, Monokini, Whole Piece) Ladies: Bottom Piece Option (Bikini, Thong, High Waist, Boy Shorts) Men: Waist Size (in inches) Pants Size (XSmall – 5XL) Female & Male: T Shirt Size (XS- 5XL)
  • WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION
    One Island Bands’ registration is open from the day our website is launched until costumes are sold out. Always register via our website to ensure registration is valid.
  • CAN I ORDER EXTRA ITEMS WITH MY COSTUMES?
    Each Section may have different additional options. Costumes may come with options for larger headpieces, collars, backpacks and other embellishments at an additional cost. If these options are available, they will be detailed on the registration page and in the section photo galleries, along with the cost attached.
  • I DID NOT GET A COSTUME; CAN I BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST?
    One Island Band does not maintain a waiting list however, there are very rare instances where a masquerader may cancel their order and notify us. Please email oneislandband@gmail.com and we will try our best to get you a costume however we cannot make any promises.
  • I HAVE A COMMENT/COMPLAINT – WHOM DO I SPEAK WITH?

  • WHAT DOES ONE ISLAND BAND ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE INCLUDE?

  • WHAT EVENTS DO YOU HOST ANNUALLY?
    Sunset Miami - Monday 9th October
  • CAN I WEAR OR DESIGN MY OWN COSTUME?
    No. One Island Band does not allow masqueraders to design their own costumes. You MUST wear your full One Island Band's costume together with wristbands in order to be within Band. Masqueraders failing to follow these strict guidelines will be escorted out of the band.
  • CAN MY FAMILY MEMBERS/FRIENDS JUMP IN THE BAND?
    One Island Band only allows registered masqueraders to jump in the band. Non-masqueraders may observe from the side-lines outside the band; however they will not be allowed to participate.
  • PARADE OF BANDS STARTING – WHERE? WHEN?
    Sunday 13th October, 2024 Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition, Inc. 10901 SW 24th Street Miami, FL 33165 The starting time will be on your checklist along with our bands # of appearance in the parade lineup. Be sure to read your checklist for all details (This will be posted on our social media pages) The start time will also be confirmed in your checklist Information will also be made available on our website and all social media platforms.
  • WHEN IS FINAL PAYMENT DUE?
    IMPORTANT – All final costume balances must be paid by Sunday 8th September, 2024.
  • J'OUVERT BANDS STARTING – WHERE? WHEN?
    Saturday 12th October, 2024 Central Broward Regional Park 3700 Northwest 11th Place Fort Lauderdale, Fl, 33311 The starting time will be on your checklist along with our bands # of appearance in the J’ouvert lineup. Be sure to read your checklist for all details (This will be posted on our social media pages)
  • HOW DO I REGISTER?
    Step 1: Choose a costume from our options by clicking the image or options button Step 2: After a reviewing the costume details, click Register Here (located above the costume details) Step 3: Check out and ensure your confirmation receipt is received
  • DO I NEED ID TO COLLECT MY COSTUME?
    Yes, you will only be given a costume with ID of the owner as named on our system during registration/purchase online.
  • I’M UNABLE TO COLLECT MY COSTUME. CAN ANOTHER PERSON COLLECT ON MY BEHALF?
    Yes. We do provide 3rd Party Pickup. Follow the instruction in your account to facilitate. Alternatively, you can send an authorization email to oneislandband@gmail.com from the email address used when you purchased your costume.
  • WHEN IS COSTUME DISTRIBUTION?
    Costume Distribution Schedules will be emailed to all masqueraders, posted on our website and social media platforms. Distribution is carded to take place from Wednesday 9th October – Friday 11th October. The final date of costume distribution is Carnival Friday, after which all uncollected costumes will be sold and payments forfeited. If, due to travel arrangements you are unable to reach us by Friday, please email oneislandband@gmail.com
  • WHAT DO I GET WHEN I COME TO COSTUME DISTRIBUTION?
    Your Costume Complimentary Jouvert Tshirt One Island Band Goody Bag Jouvert Wristband Carnival Sunday Wristband Important: Your costume is not complete without your wristbands! Masqueraders not wearing full costume of the section registered in along with their wristbands will be removed from the band. Failure to walk with your cup means you will be unable to obtain drinks (no excuses)
  • WHERE DO I COLLECT MY COSTUME/PACKAGE?
    At: Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition, Inc. 10901 SW 24th Street Miami, FL 33165
  • WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?
    All major Credit and Visa Debit cards are acceptable for Online payments. Payment may be made in full or by making a down payment upon registration. We also offer the option to make additional payments. IMPORTANT – All final costume balances must be paid by Sunday 8th September, 2024. Costumes will be sold and deposit forfeited if balances are not paid on time.
  • CAN I GET A REFUND IF I NO LONGER WISH TO PARTICIPATE?
    No. One Island Band does not offer refunds. Carnival costumes are customized items. They are custom made to the measurements you provided.
  • I HAVE PURCHASED A COSTUME FROM ANOTHER MASQUERADER. HOW DO I TRANSFER THE COSTUME TO MY NAME?
    One Island Band can facilitate costume transfers. Please follow these steps: 1. Ensure the seller provides One Island with a letter authorizing them to transfer ownership to the owner. 2. The new owner now absorbs full responsibility. Alternatively, the original owner can send an authorization email to oneislandband@gmail.com from the email address used when purchasing their costume.
